Peggy's Clock

Peggy had a gold clock from the early 1960s that hung in her kitchen. She remembers when she was five her Dad took her and her cousins out for ice cream and they were out until 2:00 a.m. Her father pointed to this clock and told her it was the latest she had ever been up. As she grew older she would join her whole family who would often stay up until at least 3:00 a.m. every night.

Two layer screenprint on paper and fabric, 13.5 inches in diameter.

Fern Pattern

I am making a fern pattern for the background of the dining room. Peggy has a vivid memory of her mother's striking red hair against the deep green of this wallpaper.

CFEVA Fellowship

I recently found out that I was accepted as a CFEVA Fellow, so for the next two years they will be coordinating exhibitions of my work along with the other Fellows and helping me network to galleries and art collectors. I'm very excited to be a part of this wonderful program!

Kim's Teapot and Creamer

Just finished printing Kim's teapot and creamer on paper and fabric. Kim still has these two pieces of china that her grandfather purchased in Japan during WWII. Kim's sister had broken many of them and was going to throw the whole set away, but Kim saved these two pieces before they went in the trash.

Finished Sewn Pieces

These are some pieces that have finally completed the process of being drawn, screenprinted, sewn, stuffed, resewn, and edged for the exhibition at the Airport and Paradigm Gallery.

The photo above are of the Blue Teapot, my childhood Salad Spinner, Leroy's Cathedral Radio and Kim's Armchair.
